What Happens to My Family

Dal Bong and Seo Wool
Episode 12

Dal Bong had struggled his whole life under the shadow of his two successful older siblings. Being very different from them, he had never had the Midas touch they seemed to possess. When a girl he had loved as a child shows back up in his life he is determined to make something of himself for her sake, but, his continued failures keep him from being able to tell her how he feels. Though Seo Wool has never hidden her feelings towards him, he feels unworthy to return them. As Seo Wool prepares to return home to the country, she brings her grandfather to the place they had both worked. Dal Bong, in a last desperate attempt, pretends to be the top chef to impress him. Unfortunately, it backfires on him. As he is coming home that evening he finds Seo Wool outside waiting for him. We found this scene particularly sweet since, even though Seo Wool has been open about her feelings, this is really the first time Dal Bong admits to her that he has feelings for her too.

Descendants of the Sun

Captain Yoo Shi Jin and Dr. Kang Mo Yeon
Episode 6

Captain Yoo Shi Jin is the head of the special ops Team Alpha. Following some dangerous missions his team is given a break and stationed instead in the distant country of Urk where he meets again a doctor he had been in love with in Korea. The night before his team returns to Korea, Captain Yoo Shi Jin's feelings are heartbreakingly turned down by Dr. Kang Mo Yeon. Even with feelings of her own, she is afraid to love a man whose life could be taken from her in a heart beat. After a long restless night following, her heart finally wins. She searches for him first thing in the morning, but it is too late. She finds he is already gone - a parting that they both regret and can't forget. Back in Korea for only a short time, Captain Yoo Shi Jin gets the news that an earthquake has hit the area where Dr. Kang Mo Yeon is currently stationed. Still in love with her and terrified for her life he volunteers to return immediately. After a brief, relieving glance of each other as he arrives, this is their first real encounter. We had a hard time choosing which scene we liked best, but this one really warmed our hearts as it was an acknowledgement that things were far from over between them.

He Is Psychometric

Lee Ahn and Yoon Jae In
Episode 8/9

Lee Ahn is psychometric, a gift he developed after a traumatic event in his childhood. The trauma of which he unknowingly shares with Yoon Jae In who is in search of the truth of that horrible day in their past. Wanting help with her past memories, she is equally afraid of them, especially since she fears the effect it may have on her and Lee Ahn's relationship should he know the connection she holds to that event. Having decided to allow Lee Ahn into her mind, he had attempted once before to try and read them, but had been unsuccessful. In truth, his gift was under developed and he only could see pieces. They expected it was because he was trying too hard (and maybe partly because of Ahn's strong feelings towards her) so they agreed that if the contact was unexpected there may be better results. However, her "surprise attack" instead leads to his viewing other memories and the revealing of feelings in this beautiful scene.

Familiar Wife

Cha Joo Hyuk and Seo Woo Jin
Episode 6

This will be the shortest romantic scene we will list (which follows our longest scene). Though short, we felt it so very romantically charged that it stuck with us as one of the sweetest moments in the drama. Joo Hyuk struggled with a chaotic life and marriage, so when the mysterious opportunity arose to change it, he did. However, when his past wife shows back up in his life he begins to remember the reasons he had fallen in love with her and does so all over again. Unknown to him, she has feelings for him too. However, things are much different now and his present situation prohibits any relationship between them. When they end up the only ones in a bar, her sleeping because of the alcohol, he takes the opportunity to touch her secretly only to have her awaken as he does so... this leads then to the future following short but sweet scene when they find themselves the only two alone in the office where they work.

Are You Human Too?

Nam Shin III and Kang So Bong
Episode 34

This drama tells the story of the robot, Nam Shin III, who was created by Doctor Oh as a replacement for her son (who was taken by his grandfather). When an attempt on the real Nam Shin's life puts him in a coma the robot must step in and hold his model's place in the world. A place he holds better than the original, who wakes up to the surprise of his robot twin and wants nothing more than to have him destroyed. Nam Shin III was created to grow and adapt to his surroundings and in the process he becomes attached to and earns the love of his closest human friend, Kang So Bong. When the real Nam Shin gets his hands on the robot's kill switch, it seems as if it is all over. Not wanting to hurt So Bong, Nam Shin III attempts to leave and die without her knowing. That leads to this heart-warming/heart-breaking scene. There were many amazing scenes between these two, but this one got us as it is, one, the first time he acknowledges what we have all felt (he can actually feel love), and two, the knowledge that (unknown to So Bong) in his heart he was saying goodbye.

Strong Woman Do Bong Soon

Ahn Min Hyuk and Do Bong Soon
Episode 14

After discovering the supernatural strength powers of Do Bong Soon, Ahn Min Hyuk hires her to become his bodyguard. For him, it was pretty much love at first sight, but for her it was different. She had been in a one-sided love relationship with a close friend of hers for years. A police friend who is investigating a case she now is deeply involved in. However, as her and Min Hyuk's relationship deepens she begins falling in love with him as well. When she helps with a set up (that involves her police friend and Min Hyuk) to catch a criminal and save her friend she accidently hurts and innocent person, which causes her to lose her powers. Unable to protect herself, she ends up strapped to a bomb and locked in a metal room on the roof of Min Hyuk's family business. Though there were so many amazing romantic moments between these two (the hospital scene and the piano kiss... just to name a few), this one we felt truly showed the depth of love Min Hyuk had for Bong Soon as he commits to losing his life alongside hers. The hug at the end of this scene rivals any kiss in our opinion!
