We have to admit, Korean Dramas have given us some pretty amazing OSTs. With so much to choose from, we felt that maybe it was time to dedicate a post to some of our most favorite pieces of music we have heard so far.
For Part 1 we wanted to make note of some of the best in this area, not just based on us. So we will give out a few "Jin 'n Jules" Awards and tell you how our decision was made. Do you agree? What songs are in your play list?
Best Album Award
Goblin
Since this was such a tough decision for us, we decided to use the internet for some help. Based on views on YouTube/Viewer favorite lists and awards won, we have determined that Goblin holds the place for the best OST. We have not yet watched this drama, but its OSTs have not escaped our notice.
I Will Go to You Like the First Snow by Ailee is the most awarded song on the soundtrack, and the most awarded one we have run across at this time. It took home an incredible 8 awards out of 10 nominations. Strangely enough, it did not make our list of favorites, but it was apparently well loved by the industry. Two of their songs did make our list, and here we seem to be in agreement with the fan base as they both are the top viewed OSTs of this soundtrack. They are
1. Stay With Me by Chanyeol and Punch
2. Beautiful by Crush

This was an easy win in many ways. One, is that it is one of our favorites, but two, it holds the place for the most viewed OST on YouTube with 331 million views. And, no matter how we filter it and change our search keywords, it still appears to be the top viewed OST over all other OSTs from any other film/drama anywhere. And, it doubles the views of the next Korean Drama OST in line.

Top OST Artist Group Award

We decided we needed a group award when we realized that different members of this boy group have feature roles in 7 of our favorite OSTs. That's a crazy amount and decided that this group deserved their own category. They have taken part in many more OSTs, but to have 7 on our list is pretty amazing! In No particular order they are:

Chen and Punch
These two we happily crowned King and Queen as they both are featured in 3 songs in our favorites list, one of which they sing together. They are fan favorites as well. We often see them mentioned as the gods of OSTs.

Though we haven't seen many covers and translated versions of these songs, we happen to come across this one and knew we wanted to give it some special recognition. It is apparently an amazing song in both Korean and English. We loved this!
